Suggested Charter Itineraries

Day 1 - Marina Cay

Following an afternoon of big boat tacking, crew over boards, maneuvering under power, sail trim, and eyeball navigation, we find our anchorage on the eastern end of Tortola. There are three choices like the one pictured here, Marina Cay. It (like all of your stops) is idyllic with a fringing barrier reef for snorkeling or just staring at calm, clear water where the bottom looks six feet away, but could be fifty.

Day 3 - Anegada

Anegada is actually a sand bar on top of a reef. Its mean elevation is six or seven feet which requires solid navigational skills. Always worth the sail, Anegada is almost completely circled by reef and is surrounded by white beach. After snorkeling the reefs, long walks on the barren beach, or relaxing in a hammock under sea grape trees, you'll have dinner ashore at a fabulous restaurant on the beach.

Day 5 - Norman Island

The snorkeling here is tremendous, and the harbor is always flat and breezy. Whether you enjoy dancing it up on the "Willie T" (a floating bar known by countless visiting boaters) or sitting back on the boat, Norman Island will be on your list of islands to return to.

Day 2 - North Sound, Virgin Gorda

Tuesday you will sail up to Leverick Bay located in North Sound on Virgin Gorda. Head ashore for some of the best water sports in the world or stroll through this world class resort, or stay on the boat and watch the sun go down.

Day 4 - Cane Garden Bay

After a long broad reach, you will sail into Cane Garden Bay. A picture book anchorage with palm trees spotting a white sandy beach, CGB is a small beach community that one will find difficult to leave the next day.

Day 1 - Cooper Island

Setting sail to Cooper Island you will make a series of tacks up the Sir Francis Drake Channel. We'll pick up a mooring ball in Manchioneel Bay. You'll have the opportunity to dinghy out to Cistern Point where there is excellent snorkeling. Ashore, you'll find a beach lined with palm trees attached to the quaint Cooper Island Beach Club. A terrific spot for a cocktail, while watching the sun set over the Sir Francis Drake Channel.

Day 3 - Anegada

A two hour beam reach puts you into Setting Point, Anegada. Take a 15 minute land tour over this coral island to Loblolly Bay where you are sure to find crystal clear waters, shallow snorkeling and miles of fine white sand beach. Relax in a hammock under the sea grape trees before returning to Setting Point for a fabulous dinner on the beach at the Anegada hotel.

Day 5 - Marina Cay

An easy downwind sail to Marina Cay, the home of the historical Pusser's and subject of Robb White's book "Our Virgin Island". Marina Cay is an Idyllic spot with a fringing barrier reef, offering great snorkeling, or if you prefer, a relaxing afternoon staring at calm, clear water where the bottom looks six feet away, but could be fifty.

Day 7 - Norman Island

Run down to the west end of Tortola and head up through the Thatch Cut, tacking your way to Norman Island and picking up a mooring ball in the Bight. Watch the sun set over St. John from the boat after snorkeling the Caves. Last but not least, a visit to the William Thornton, "Willy T", the infamous floating bar or go ashore and enjoy the quaint beach by Pirates restaurant for lunch. Children can enjoy fishing off the dock here.

Day 2 - North Sound, Virgin Gorda

Day 4 - The Baths, Spanish Town, Virgin Gorda

You'll spend the day at the famous Baths on Virgin Gorda. Explore these wonders by foot, hiking over, around and under enormous granite formations. In the afternoon, the Top of the Baths is the perfect spot for lunch, a cocktail and a swim in their fresh water pool.

Day 6 - Cane Garden Bay

Sail through the Camanoe and Guana Passages, stopping at Monkey Point on Guana Island for lunch and a snorkel on our way to Cane Garden Bay. A picture book anchorage, Cane offers up palm trees spotting a white sandy crescent beach, and verdant, green hills rolling down towards the shore. There is an ample supply of watering holes and restaurants to visit as you watch the sun set over St. Thomas.
